Recognize God's plan: God wants us to know that He loves us. And he wants us to experience His Love and to know His peace. "For god so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Realize our problem: separation from God. People choose to disobey God and go their own way. And this results in separation from Him. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23)

Romans 6:23 ~ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
